Six wheat seed samples from different lots of the cultivar Nobre (S 31) were treated with a mixture of fungicides Benomyl + Thiran to evaluate its effects on the stand and yield, in a trial laid out at the Centro Nacional de Pesquisa de Trigo (CNPT), Passo Fundo (RS), in 1978. The samples, characterized for the moisture content, hectoliter weight, a thousand seed weight, percentage of germination and vigour (aging chamber) and incidence of fungi, showed differences among them for some of these factors. The evaluated results of the stand showed that some of the lots responded favorably, but only one of the samples studied showed yield increase due to seed treatment.
