EFFECT OF SEED TREATMENT WITH NON-SYSTEMIC FUNGICIDES ON SEVERAL CHARACTERISTICS OF SOYBEANS CV. 'SANTA ROSA'
R.A. VEDOATO; N.G. FERNANDES; A. LAM-SÁNCHEZ
An experiment was carried out during the crop year 1972/73, to determine the effects of several non-sistemic fungicides (Captan, Merpacine, P.C. N.B. and Thiran) used as seed treatment on the emergence, nodulation and yield of soybeans (Glycine max L. Merrill) cv. 'Santa Rosa'. There was an increase on the stand in relation to the check, when Captan, Thiran and Merpacine were used, but the last one caused a reduction on the dry weight of nodules. The stand increase, however, did not have any influence on seed yield.
