SEED RESEARCH NEEDS ANO METHODOLOGY. l. SEED PRODUCTION AND HARVESTING

JAMES C. DELOUCHE

Seed production for crops produced for their "gram" differs from regular grain production only in a few criticai ways. The aspects of seed production that require the specialized research attention of seed technologists were discussed along with general methodology. Harvesting technology for seed and grain are also similar. Studies needed to provide information for optimal timing of harvest and equipment adjustments for maintenance of seed quality were discussed.
