ACTIVITIES OF THE BRAZILIAN ASSOCIATION OF SEED TECNOLOGY TO ESTIMULATE SEED PRODUCTION IN BRAZIL

A general view of the Brazilian Association of Seed Technology -ABRATES is given, considering data obtained from a 1984 survey. Up to september of that year, 975 members were affiliated and 137 technical papers published in the Brazilian Seed Journal. Based on suggestions and propositions of the Technical Committees, the Association gathered valuables research, training and publications guidelines, directed to the development of the brazilian seed industry.
