PATHOGENIC FUNGI PRESENT IN WHEAT SEEDS IN THE STATES OF RIO GRANDE DO SUL AND PARANÁ, BRAZIL, 1984

Cochliobolus satvius was the most frequent pathogen isolated from wheat seed lots proceeding from different regions of the States of Rio Grande do Sul and Paraná, with averges of 22 and 28%, respectively. The incidence of Septona nodorum was higher in the seed lots from Rio Grande do Sul with an infeciton average of 10%; seeds from Paraná, in general, showedlow levels of this fungos. Fusarium graminearum was present in some seed lots with low frequencies.
