The effect of different form and types of dolomitic lime and gypsum application on the physiological quality of peanut seeds cv. Tatu V-53 was evaluated. The experiment was arranged in a completely randomized split-plot design, with the treatments consisting of four sources used as corrective (check, lime, gypsum, and a mixture of both) applied before planting, combined with the same four sources applied topdressed, in the begininning of flowering. To evaiuate the physiological quality of the seeds the following parameters were considered: germination percentage, and vigor through speed of emergence, and shoot, root system, and total seedling dry matter weight. The results showed no effect of the lime, gypsum or both applied before planting time or in the beginning of flowering in the vigor evaluated by shoot, root system and seedling total dry matter weight. In soil previously submitted to lime, the application of dolomitic lime topdressed increased the seed vigor evaluated by the speed of emergence, whereas the germination percentage decreased with the use of gypsum applied before planting time combined with application of lime and/or lime + gypsum topdressed.
