ALBERTO DOS REIS CONDÉ E JOSÉ GARCIA
The objective of this work was to verify the influence of the harvesting time of Setária Kazungula seeds upon it?s quality during storage. Seeds were harvested at 20, 26, 32, 38, 44 and 56 days after initial head emergence (lHE), dryed under shadow up to 10-11% of moisture, packed in cotton bags and stored under environmental conditions (not controled). Periodically, at 0, 4, 8 and 12 months, seeds were submited to the following tests: germination, pure germinating seeds, emergence and first count. The analylsis of the data led to the conclusion that seeds harvested at 44 days after lHE suported better the storage under environmental conditions.
