The present research was carried out at the Silviculture Laboratory of the Silviculture and Management Department of the Federal University of Paraná. The objective was to present informations about adequated methodology for moisture content determination for Paraná pine seeds. Seed samples were submitted to 21 different treatments. It was not necessary to do a pre-drying, and several methods can be used to determine the moisture content of seeds. It can be done utilizing transversely cut or longitudinally and transversely cut seeds, dried in oven at 130oC for 2 hours.
