The present work was carried out at the Seed Analysis Laboratory of the ?Escola Superior de Agricultura Luiz de Queiroz - ESALQ/USP? in Piracicaba-SP and at the experimental field of the ?Centro Nacional de Pesquisa de Hortaliças - CNPH/EMBRAPA? in Brasília-DF. The main objective was evaluate the effects of the fungicides Captan, Thiram, lprodione, Benomyl and the mixture Iprodione + Thiram applied to pea seeds. The tests of standard germination, first germination count, accelerated ageing, eletric conductivity, field emergence and moisture content determination were conducted with four different seed lots of the cultivars Mikado and Pomak in three times, at three-month intervals, from november/1988 up to july/1989. The data analysis mainly on the low physiolagical quality seed lots; the trends of phytotoxic in the laboratory were softened or even supressed when seeds were sown at the field.
