FUNGICIDES EVALUATION BY WHEAT (Triticum aestivum L.) SEED TREATMENT IN THE CONTROL OF Pyricularia oryzae AND Helminthosporium sativum
AUGUSTO CÉSAR PEREIRA GOULART
The aim of this work was to evaluate the efficience of fungicides, in the wheat seeds treatment in the control of Helminthosporium sativum and Pyricularia oryzae. In lab and field tests, wheat seeds of the cultivar BR 20-Guató with 30% of natural contamination with H. sativum and of Anahuac with 6% of P. oryzae, were used. The wheat seeds treatment with fungicides showed efficient on the control of both pathogens. Triadimenol 250 (40g a.i./100kg of seeds), etiltrianol 25 (20g a.i./100kg of seeds), iprodione + thiram (50 + 150g a.i./100kg ofseeds) and triadimenol 250 + anilazine 75 (15 + 200g a.i./100kg of seeds) were the best in the control of H. sativum, erradicating the pathogen on the treated seeds. Triadimenol 150 (35g a.i./100kg of seeds), triadimenol 150 + anilazine 480 (15 + 200g a.i./100kg of seeds), etiltrianol 15 + anilazine 480 (5 + 200g a.i./100kg of seeds), etiltrianol 2,5 + thiram (5 + 210g a.i./100kg of seeds), triadimenol 250 (40g a.i./100 kg of seeds), etiltrianol 25 (15 and 20g a.i./100kg of seeds), and iprodione + thiram (50 + 150g a.i./100kg of seeds), were the best in the control of P. oryzae, giving total elimination of this fungi of the seeds. In the field, etiltrianol 25 (20g a.i./100kg of seeds) and iprodione + thiram (50 + 150g a.i./100kg of seeds) giving the best control of H. sativum. The transmission of P. oryzae by wheat seeds was not detected in the field. The efect of seeds chemical treatment in the wheat yield was not observed.
