EFFECT OF THE MIXTURE BETWEEN PHOSPHATIC FERTILIZERS AND SEEDS OF Brachiaria brizantha (HOSCHST EX A. RICH) STAPF AND Brachiaria decumbens STAPF ON THE SEED GERMINATION

The objective of this research was to evaluate the effect of the mixture between phosphatic fertilizers and seeds of Brachiaria brizantha and Brachiaria decumbens and to verify it?s influence on the germination. The phosphatic fertilizers used were: Arafértil Simple Superphosphate (A.S.S.), Jacupiranga Simple Superphosphate (J.S.S.), Partial Acidulated Phosphate (P.A.P), Partial Natural Acidulated Phosphate (P.N.A.P.). Triple Superphosphate (T.S.) and Araxá Natural Phosphate (A.N.P.). The contact periods between the phosphatic fertiizers and seeds were: 0, 6, 12, 24, 48, 72, and 120 hours, being mixtured in the rate of 25g of fertilized design with a factorial arrangement (6 x 6) plus a control, constituted by 6 different phosphatic fertilizers and contact periods between fertilizers and seeds. According to the treatments were started the germination tests, being the count dates made at 7, 14 and 21 days af ter the tests beginning and after was evaluate the germination ($) in relation to the number of normal seedlings. The obtained results for the Brachiaria brizantha showed that the Arafértil Simple Superphosphate (A.S.S.), the Triple Superphosphate (T.S.), the Jacupiranga Simple Superphosphate (J.S.S.), the Partial Acidulated Phosphate (P.A.S.) and the Partial Acidulated Natural Phosphate (P.A.N.P.) in the mixture reduced the germination from 6 to 12 hours up to 12 hours of contact between fertilizers and seeds. The Araxá Natural Phosphate (A.N.P.) didn?t affect the seed germination. In relation to the Brachiaria decumbens all the phosphatic fertilizers relatively compared to the confrol reduced the seed germination in the following crescent reduction order: Araxá Natural Phosphate (A.N.P.), Partial Acidulated Natural Phosphate (P.A.N.P.), Jacupiranga Simple Superphosphate (J.S.S.), Triple Superphosphare (T.S.) and Arafértil Simple Superphosphate (A.S.S.). The contact period of to hours betwee seeds and fertilizers didn?t affect much the germinative process, but there was a drastic reduction in the period of 6 up to 120 hours. In a general way was concluded that the seeding of seeds in mixture with phosphatic fertilizers should be done imediately by using mainly a natural phosphate avoiding in this weys possible damages to the seeds germination.
