The study was carried out to evaluate the physical and physiological quality of birdsfoot trefoil seeds (Lotus corniculatus L.) representative of Registered, Certificated and Fiscalized seeds produced and processed in Uruguai. Samples from nine seed lots of cv. Ganador, were taking before starting the seed processing and after; from the air screen cleaner, gravity table and from its intermediate product. The samples seeds were submited to the following tests: seed size, physical purity, standard germination, Iow temperature germination, accelerating aging, electrical condutivity with one and twenty-four hours of imbibition, field emergency and survival. The results showed that the inclusion of a gravity table in the birdsfoot trefoil seed processing line increase their physical and physiological quality when compared to the normal seed processing line used where is employed only the air screen cleaner and the cylinder separator.
