RESULTS VARIATION CAUSES IN GUINEA GRASS (Panicum maximum JACQ.) SEED ANALYSIS. V. CONSIDERATIONS ON THE EQUIPMENTS AND PROCEDURES

In this work, considerations were made on the equipments and procedures adopted for the purity analysis and germination tests on seeds of tropical forage plants, specially guinea grass seed, in Seed Stations, located in the State of São Paulo, Brazil. Considerations were presented as a result of other works of the autors. It was discussed aspects of the seed sample dividers, balances, sieves, manifiers, seed blowers and seed germinators available in the laboratories and in the market, as well as, weight of the work samples, purity analysis methodology, germination tests and tolerances tables recomended by the Brazilian Rules for Seed Testing.
