Thirty two chemical treatments to eradicate X. campestris pv. vesicatoria from artificially infected tomato seeds were evaluated. X. campestris pv. vesicatoria was eradicated from tomato seeds that were soaked into 5% hydrochloric acid for 5 hours. The acid treatment caused small reduction on the emergence of tomato seedlings.
