A field experiment was carried out in the spring of 1991 in Botucatu, State of São Paulo, to study the effects of liming on soybean seed yield and quality. The soil was a Dark Red Latossol (Hapduit, Sandy loam), and the experimental design was a fatorial 2 x 2 more an added experimental treatment. The factors were lime levels and sources. Seed physical and physiological quality was evalueted after 7 and 12 months of storage at laboratory conditions. The highest yield was observed in lime presence. Seed from limed plots showed higher size and dry weight. Higher size seed showed small physical and physiological quality after 7 e 12 month?s storage. The highest seed yield was observed in higher common lime presence. The vigor of list higher size seed was evidenced in storage for long time.
