Seeds of single cross maize BR 201 were harvested in intervals of seven days from 30th day until the 128th day after flowering to study the physiological maturity of seeds. Were determined the humidity, dry matter cumulation, black layer, germination and vigor. The results showed us that under conditions in what the research was developed the physiological maturity the seeds of maize hybrid BR 201 female based on dry matter cumulation occurred in 58 days after flowering; high quality seeds can be obtained harvesting before the maximum dry matter cumulation, at until fourteen days before physiological maturity; in winter time is possible to produce maize seeds of high quality at less time than iii normal cultivation time.
