PERFORMANCE OF SEED GERMINATION OF Stevia rebaudiana (Bert.) Bertoni ACCORDING TO THE NUMBER OF SEEDS PER REPLICATE
JOSÈ WALTER PEDROZA CARNEIRO
This work was carried out to verify the influence of replicates with 50, 100, 150 and 200 stevia seeds on the performance of two seed lots of Stevia rebaudiana (Bert.) Bertoni, harvested in a greenhouse (L1) and in a.field plot (L2), respectively. The combination between the model and the data set was evaluated by the cumulative distribution of Weibull with three parameters. The temperature for the seed germination was 25°C and the germitest paper was used. It was verified that seeds from lot L1 took 115.29 hours to germinate 63.21 per cent of 89.04% (M) and 93.79 hours for seeds of lot 2 to germinate 63.21 per cent of 33.9%. The performance of the parameter c was reasonably dose to linear when 100 or more seeds per replication, from lot L1, were used and a similar performance for 200 seeds per replication in lot L2.
