The purpose of this study was to determine the effects of differents doses of carbofuran 350 FMC insecticide with reference to germination and vigor of corn seeds. Three classes of hybrids were treated with four doses of carbofuran insecticide (0, 700, 1.050, 1.400g i.a./100kg seeds. The simple hybrid presented the best performance when exposed to high doses of inseticide. The levels that caused the great test effects on the corn seeds vigor were 1.050g i.a./100kg seeds and 1.400g i.a./100kg seeds. It was observed that the seeds should be sown sooner after being treated by insecticides.
