SCARIFICATION EFFECT AND EMBEBITION ON THE EMERGENCY AND DEVELOPMENT OF Spondias lutea L. SEEDLINGS
FIRMINO, J.L., ALMEIDA, M.C. E TORRES, S.B.
It was associated scarification methods distal and proximal regions and in both regions in relation to the embryonic shaft and periods of two, four and six hours of soaking in water in natural temperature aiming to uniform and accelerate the emergence of Spondias lutea L. seeds. It was evaluated the percentage and speed of emergence, seedlings height and roots lenght. It was checked that the treatmente where the seeds had been scarificated in the proximal region in relation to the embryo presented higher speed of emergence. The soaking in water in the periods of two, four and six hours was not significant to accelerate and uniform the emergence of S. lutea seeds.
