MARICIA RIBEIRO DIP E MARIA ELENA APARECIDA DELACHIAVE
Seedsmen and farmers had tryed to erradicate pathogens of watermelen seeds (Citrullus lanatus L. - Cucurbitaceae) employing fungicide treatment, that protect seeds and seedlings against fungus. The aim of this work was to observe the phytotoxics effects of fungicides Captan and Thiram. Three dosis of each one were applied: Captan - 0,1, 0,3 and 0,5g/100 seeds and Thiram - 0,1, 0,2 and 0,3g/100 seeds, and the germination tests were conducted at 25oC in the light, another in the dark. Seedlings were cultivated hidroponically. Germination percentage and spoeed were evaluated na leaves, steams and roots were measured and weighed. The application of Captan and Thiram didn?t change germination percentage either seedling and plant growth weren?t affected when compared to control.
