LUÍS FERNANDO BITENCOURT E MARTIN HOMECHIN

Seeds of Casearia sylvestris Swartz (guaçatonga) were assessed through blotter test,
deep freezing and PDA methods with the objective to determine seedborne fungus. It was found the
following genera Alternaria, Aspergillus, Cladosporium, Colletotrichum, Lembosia, Mucor, Periconia,
Ulocladium and Trichoderma
. Through the blotter test were observed the pathogenic fungus Alternaria
sp. and Periconia sp. and the saprophytic fungi Aspergillus sp., Rhizopus sp., Cladosporium sp.,
Mucor sp. and Trichoderma
sp. Through the deep freezing technique only saprophyte fungi were
found. By the PDA method were detected the fungus Colletotrichum sp., Ulocladium sp. and Lembosia
