In order to verify the effect of temperature and substrate on the germination of saguaraji (Colubrina glandulosa Perk.) seeds, germination trials were performed in gerbox in 25, 30 and 20-30ºC temperatures and in the substrates between and on-paper, between and on-sand, between and on-vermiculite. Germination percentage and velocity varied only in between paper and between sand substrates, in 30ºC temperature, which presented the lowest values. It was concluded that 25, 20-30 and 30ºC temperatures can be used in saguaraji seeds germination surveys, and that the seeds should be put above vermiculite, sand and paper or between vermiculite.
