The objectives of this work were to describe and to illustrate the morphological characteristics of fruits, seeds, germination process and seedlings of Terminalia argentea Mart. & Zucc., in order to enhance the knowledge about wood species from the cerrado. The research was done in the laboratory and greenhouse. The species showed characteristics such as winged fuit, extrafloral nectaries and swollen primary roots, contributing to the species adaptation to the cerrado environment. The results obtained can be used in taxonomy and seed technology, contributing to the interpretation of germination tests, seedlings production, as well as in silvicultural and ecological studies of the natural regeneration, helping the identification of the species in the field.
