Morphological aspects of seeds and seedlings development of the craibeira (Tabebuia caraiba (Mart.) Bur.) and pereiro (Aspidosperma pyrifolium Mart.) were described and illustrated. The descriptions were done using the external and internal aspects of seeds: shape, color, texture, hilum position and micropyle, wings and embryo characters; to the seedlings development were described the external aspects. The descriptions shown can be used to species identification and seedling production in nursery, as well as in natural regeneration and restoration of degraded area studies, making it easier to identify the species.
