The moisture contents determination of a seed lots is fundamental in its quality evaluation and storage handling. This work´s aim was to compare and select moisture contents determination methods in Hymenaea stigonocarpa and Stryphnodendron adstringens seeds. The stoven methods of 105±3ºC for 24 hours, 130-133ºC for one hour and 70ºC until the constant weight, with whole seeds, were evaluated. The experimental design was completely randomized with 15 replicates of four Hymenaea stigonocarpa seeds (almost 13.5g) and almost 4g of Stryphnodendron adstringens seeds. The methods showed results with significative differences but its recommendation was limited by the low precision in relation to the recommended by the brasilian rules for seed analysis.
