GRAVITY TABLE AND PHYSIOLOGICAL AND SEED HEALTH QUALITY OF COMMON VETCH (Vicia sativa L.)

ANTÔNIO DOMEVAL ALEXANDRE E WALTER RODRIGUES DA SILVA

The objective of this work was evaluate the effect of gravity table in the excellence
of physiological and seed health quality of common vetch (Vicia sativa L.) seeds. After cleanness,
a seeds lot was submitted into gravity table action with discharge divided into four fractions:
upper discharge (DS), upper intermediate (DIS), lower intermediate (DII) and lower (DI). It was
assumed as the lower extremity, the one located in the unloading lowest point when considerated,
the lateral inclination of the table and as the upper one, the opposite. The fractions (DS) (DIS)
and (DII), submited separatdly to the action of the gravity table to provide the completetion of the
treatments assigned. After sampling, the seeds were analyzed for physiological quality (germination
and evaluation of solid seeds, first germination count, accelerated aging, cold best with soil, growing
of seedling and dry matter weight, seedling emergence in field) and seed health. It was noted that
the separation of seeds performed by gravity table provided favorable modifications to the lot
physiological performance, fractions with more compact seeds and bigger volumetric weight show
performance upper to the others. It justify table, in the seeds processing of common vetch, to
perfect the lots physiological quality. The interference of the gravity table work on the seed health
quality depends, apparently, on pathogen relationed.
