In field experiments, laid down in 1979 at the Instituto Agronômico do Paraná (IAPAR) - Pólo Regional de Pesquisa Agropecuária de Ponta Grossa, six seed treatment fungicides (PCNB + Terrazole, TCMTB, PCNB, TMTD, KWG 0519, Benomyl) were evaluated aiming the performance "stand" and foliar diseases control in barley (Hordeum sativum Jess) cultivar Antarctica 01. In the two trials there was not significant difference in the stand values between the treated seeds with the fungicides, and that of the non-treated control. It was noted at one of the tests the tendency for the products TMTD and Benomyl to improve the stand and PCNB and TCMTB to decrease it. On the foliar diseases there was a good effect of KWG 0519 in the powdery mildew (Erysiphe graminis hordei) and leaf rust (Puccinis hordei) control and TMTD for net blotch (Pyrenophora teres). This effect was observed in the first stages of the plant with low level of diseases.
