Seeds of bálsamo (Myroxilon balsamum (L.) Harms) were set to germinate at temperatures of 20oC, 25oC, 30oC and alternating between 20 and 30oC; with 25ml, 32ml and 40ml water on Petri dishes, containing 150g of washed sand. Daily counts were made of the germinated seeds. Best germination was obtained at 20°C, although speed of germination was low. There were no significant diferences betwen the levels of humidity or temperature x humidity interaction.
